FOUNDER, COACH & FACILITATOR

I'm a mom, wife, educator, facilitator, coach, and connector, and I believe schools can be places of healing.

For well over a decade, I've walked alongside educators and school leaders working to disrupt the conditions that dehumanize the people inside our schools and to build something better in their place: spaces where students and families are met with love, and where educators feel seen, supported, and sustained. I co-founded a school-site Wellness Center, coached leaders through embedding restorative and trauma-informed practices across entire programs, and designed curricula rooted in social-emotional learning and social justice. In 2026, I founded the Healing Education Collective so this work could outlast any one person and reach the schools that need it most.

Healing, joy, and connection sit at the heart of my work. I believe in the power of circles and vulnerability, and I bring both into every room I enter. I show up as my whole self so others feel safe to do the same, because I've seen what becomes possible when educators are given the space to be human.

COACH & FACILITATOR

One idiom I live by is “You bring all of who you are everywhere you go.”  I believe it’s powerful and healing when spaces communicate to adults and students through words and actions that - “I see you, I hear you, I’m with you.”  My experiences and journey as an educator drives my passion for humanizing learning experiences.  I’ve worked in education for over 20 years as a teacher, instructional coach, interventionist, university instructor, and program administrator.  Throughout my various roles, I have worked with adults and/or students to co-create emotionally and academically brave learning environments for all to thrive.  Outside of work, you can find me reading leisurely, going for walks, or trying new cooking recipes.

I am excited that you are considering the Healing Education Collective as a pathway forward for your community. In working together, I will bring my equity-centered education lens to the forefront.

I came into this work with over a decade of classroom teaching experience in San Francisco Public Schools. As a teacher leader, I lead my colleagues in inquiry cycles, planned and facilitated whole school PDs, and provided instructional guidance to the district. 

Currently, I am an instructional coach supporting teacher teams,  leading our whole school implementation of Lesson Study, an inquiry-based Professional Development, as well as supporting the expansion of this model across the district.  

I am passionate about building and sustaining teacher leadership that is equity-centered. To me, that looks like disrupting patterns of systemic oppression that can take place in schools--teachers are the key. When I think about this work, I think about words that Kelsey shared with me years ago--"If teachers are not well, students can't be well". When we center our students and want an equitable and just future for them, we must center our teachers, too. 

When I am not at or thinking about school, you'll find me dreaming of stone fruit, hanging on my sunny patio, and baking some type of sweet treat to share with folks. I hope to share some with you in the future!
